Constanze Quartet


The Constanze Quartet, called after the widow of W. A. Mozart, is an ensemble of four internationally renowned and ambitious artists who found the ideal inspiration for their high-class performances in Salzburg.

Emeline Pierre on the first violin was known as a distinguished violin teacher in one of the conservatories of Lyon/France, as well as a successful member of the „Pima Vista Quartet“. Lately she joined the symphony orchestra of San Sebastian, Spain as one of the string leaders.
Esther Gutierrez Redondo on the second violin is the violinist of the world famous Gutierrez-Duo, with her sister Sara, of increasing international acclaim.
Born in 1989, the German-Italian violist Patrizia Messana began her first violin studies at the age of five. Early on she won numerous awards at the German music youth competition “Jugend Musiziert”, as well as at the Carl Schroeder competition in Erfurt. As of October 2015, she is continuing her artistic studies at the Mozarteum in Salzburg with William Coleman.
Born in Bayonne, France, Marion Platero was accepted at the Paris Conservatory at the age of 15. In the class of Philippe Muller, where she obtained her Master Degree five years later in cello and chamber music with the highest possible grades.
Marion Platero has been the recipient of numerous prizes.
She performs in concert around the world both as soloist and chamber musician.
Constanze Quartet Is 3rd Prize Winner of International Anton Rubinstein Competition,
Radio France 2018.

The four artists impress with their fresh, temperamentful and soulful interpretations: These characteristics are a result of the musical school and tradition of Salzburg, as well as their charme and attractivity on stage. The repertoire of the CONSTANZE QUARTETT embraces nearly all major works. With pleasure, the ensemble likes to invite external artists to join the marvelous repertoire of quintets.

The baroque Marble Hall of Mirabell Palace is known as one of the most beautiful and historically important concert halls in Salzburg and the world. In former times the Mozart family played music there for the archbishops.
